I grew up in Alem Gena, a small town just outside Addis Ababa, far from studios, sponsors, and the global stage.ያደግኩት ከአዲስ አበባ ወጣ ብላ በምትገኘው ትንሿ ከተማ ዓለም ገና ነው፤ ከስቱዲዮዎች፣ ከስፖንሰሮችና ከዓለም መድረክ እጅግ የራቀ ቦታ።

Childhoodልጅነት
Two Dreamsሁለት ህልሞች
As a kid, two strong passions fought inside me. The first was to become a travelling media person. I loved ETV’s program Hagere with all my heart and dreamed of travelling to see other cultures and histories, then showing them to others, so I wrote short pieces about different countries for my school’s mini-media. The second was building things. My hands never stopped there wasn’t a radio or tape player at home I hadn’t taken apart. In 4th grade I built a motorcycle and a bus that moved on their own, my inventions won awards, and in 6th grade I even made it into the newspaper.በልጅነቴ በውስጤ ሁለት ጠንካራ ፍላጎቶች ይሟገቱ ነበር። የመጀመሪያው ተጓዥ የሚዲያ ሰው የመሆን ህልም ነው። በኢቲቪ ይተላለፍ የነበረውን «ሀገሬ» ፕሮግራም የነፍሴን ያህል እወደው ነበር፤ እንደዛ መዞርና ባህል ታሪክ ማየት ከዚያም ማሳየት ህልሜ ነበር፤ በትምህርት ቤታችን ሚኒሚዲያም ስለተለያዩ ሀገራት አጫጭር ፅሁፎችን እያዘጋጀሁ አቀርብ ነበር። በሌላ በኩል እጆቼ አዳዲስ ነገሮችን ከመፍጠር ዝም አይሉም ነበር፤ ቤታችን ያልፈታሁት ሬዲዮ ያልገነጠልኩት ቴፕ የለም። 4ኛ ክፍል እያለሁ በራሳቸው የሚንቀሳቀሱ ሞተር ሳይክልና ባስ ሰርቼ ነበር፤ በፈጠራ ስራዎቼ የተለያዩ ሽልማቶችን አግኝቻለሁ፣ 6ኛ ክፍል ሆኜም ጋዜጣ ላይ ወጥቼ ነበር።

My first 62 videos barely got any views. Most people would have stopped there. I kept uploading and kept learning.የመጀመሪያዎቹ 62 ቪዲዮዎቼ ተመልካች አላገኙም ማለት ይቻላል። ብዙ ሰው እዚያ ላይ ያቆም ነበር። እኔ ግን መጫኔንና መማሬን ቀጠልኩ።

Then you found me. My channel crossed one million subscribers and earned YouTube's Gold Play Button.ከዚያም አገኛችሁኝ። ቻናሌ አንድ ሚሊዮን ሰብስክራይበር አልፎ የዩቲዩብን የወርቅ ፕሌይ በተን አገኘ።

Daily news and commentary on one channel, travel on the other. Both passed a million subscribers, and each earned its own Gold Play Button.በአንዱ ቻናል የዕለት ዜናና ትንታኔ፣ በሌላኛው ጉዞ። ሁለቱም ከአንድ ሚሊዮን ሰብስክራይበር አልፈው እያንዳንዳቸው የራሳቸውን የወርቅ ፕሌይ በተን አግኝተዋል።

In the end, the travel dream won. From the Amazon to remote Swiss villages to the futuristic streets of Shenzhen, I have filmed the world in Amharic for viewers at home and across the diaspora.በመጨረሻም የጉዞው ህልም አሸነፈ። ከአማዞን እስከ ስዊዘርላንድ ገጠራማ መንደሮች፣ እስከ ዘመናዊዎቹ የሼንዘን ጎዳናዎች ድረስ ዓለምን በአማርኛ ቀርጬ በሀገር ውስጥና በዳያስፖራ ላሉ ተመልካቾች አቅርቤያለሁ።
